The Belonging Series
A joyful and thoughtful body of work exploring pattern, colour, and the ways we experience art.

Built around a single evolving pattern and a shared palette of eight carefully chosen colours, each painting in the Belonging series plays with variation — shifting colour placement, scale, and meaning to spark curiosity and create a sense of connection.

The series includes bold canvases, large immersive pieces, and modular works that I first exhibited as a single artwork, then later separated into individual “puzzle pieces.”

Created during my MA in Painting, this series reflects ongoing questions in my practice — how scale affects viewing, how colour creates energy, and how repetition and variation can challenge traditional ideas of what a painting is.

Belonging is a series made to engage, uplift, and invite curiosity.
