ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I’m an artist and designer drawn to bold colour and pattern. Using a mix of digital and traditional painting, I create metamorphosing, playful patterns — what I call “poetic visual puzzles” — where colours shift and transform across the surface.

Whether painted by hand or crafted as a digital print, my work is rooted in joy, curiosity, and the pleasure of making. Each piece is designed to energise and uplift, bringing bold, joyful bursts of colour and pattern into your space.

ABOUT

Victoria Mardon b. 1978 Maidstone, Kent, is an emerging abstract artist and designer living and working in Exeter, Devon. She earned her MA in Painting with distinction from Arts University Plymouth in 2024, following a BA in Graphic Design and Illustration from Bath Spa University in 2000. Recognised as an artist to watch, she received the Dean’s Award during her MA studies for her outstanding work¹ in the MA Graduate 2024 show.

Victoria blends digital and traditional techniques to explore bold colour and pattern in her work. Outside the studio, running and walking Dartmoor or the South West Coast Path helps clear her mind, creating space for creativity.
